Visiting to the river of An Giang, Vietnam

Located by the fertile Mekong stream, An Giang is endowed with a favorable climate and soil for agricultural development, which is also a valuable tourism resource. This rustic, casual yet colorful and peaceful countryside region has been the main draw of tourists here.


Tra Su Cajuput forest (Tinh Bien district) is the highlight landscape in An Giang. This 850-hectare area of an extremely diverse and rich ecosystem is home to numerous rare species listed in the Red Book of Vietnam. Resting on a sampan, gently paddling on the clear green water, watching dozens of birds chirping and singing on the top of melaleuca trees, I thought I was lost in wonderland. This submerged forest is typical of Western Mekong Delta.
